Joey, David, Aria & Arbor
Joey Kimball was born in 1977 in Minnesota. She grew up there playing piano, singing, playing the flute, doing math, running, and doing gymnastics. David Whedon was born in 1975 in New York. He grew up in Illinois, playing piano, singing, playing the trumpet, camping, and sailing. We met as engineering students at Harvey Mudd College in 1996 and became the Kimdons with our marriage in 2001. We love playing with our children, running, bike touring, backpacking, singing around the piano, and fixing computer bugs. Weekly music nights in the common house find us enthusiastically playing piano/accordion/cello. Dormant (pre-kid) hobbies include windsurfing and telemark skiing. We spent 2003-2004 in Grenoble, France doing engineering work, improving our French, and enjoying the Alps. We have been car-free since 2002. Joey has a PhD in electrical engineering from UC Berkeley and is currently working as a mom. David works from home as an embedded software engineer. We love the people here in CoHo and cherish learning, living, and working together with shared values of sustainability and living in harmony.
Aria was born in Berkeley in 2005. She loves singing and dancing, gymnastics, swimming, writing, hearing stories, pretending to be different animals, and eating raspberries from the CoHo land.
Arbor was born in 2009 right here in our CoHome. He enjoys riding bikes, playing in the water and sand, petting animals, and giving people kisses. He loves music and will clap when any song ends.
