Ariel & Josee
Ariel
I've been stage-struck since the age of 3, when I. performed in my first ballet recital. I grew up in Los Angeles dancing and performing, and eventually got a BA in Dance from UCLA (with a minor in Spanish). I performed as a dancer with the UCLA Dance Company, and then professionally with the Gloria Newman Dance Theatre and Dance/LA. After I moved to Corvallis “the first time,” I joined Oregon Dance and performed with them for many years. I began studying acting and directing, and I’ve been performing spoken-word theatre for quite a few years now, both in Corvallis and Eugene.
I’ve spent a year traveling in Europe and lived in Israel, San Francisco, and Eugene before returning to Corvallis.
Over the years, I’ve earned money working as a baker, bookstore manager, legal secretary, desktop publisher, freelance editor, and drama teacher / director. Currently, I work as the publishing manager for the OSU Extension Service 4-H program.
I’m also a certified Breema instructor and practitioner.
And, first and most precious, I’m Josee’s mama.
Josee
Josee was born in Portland, Oregon in 1998. She’s had an exciting life so far, living in Eugene, traveling to Israel and London, and moving to CoHo! Josee knew she wanted to live at CoHo the first time we saw it.
She had a passion for ice skating when she was 5, and became quite good at it before deciding that she’d learned enough. She attends the Corvallis Waldorf School, where in addition to the “3 Rs” she has learned to do wonderful knitting and crocheting work, and is developing into a promising artist.
Josee’s father lives in Berkeley, and she visits him and her cousins in the Bay Area several times a year.
